Volunteer Activities in Support of the Great East Japan Earthquake
Vol. 16: Community Clean-Up and Charity Lunch

As part of our new employee training program, a total of 29 employees participated in volunteer activities for residents living in reconstruction housing in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, with the support of Koshakuji Temple and the NPO Shiroume.
On the first day, participants visited Okawa Elementary School in Ishinomaki City and took part in a storytelling program at the Ogatsu Information & Exchange Center. On the second day, they carried out cleaning activities at the Aoi Housing Complex in Higashimatsushima and prepared and served soba noodles to the residents. On the third day, they helped clean Koshakuji Temple, which had hosted and supported the group throughout the three-day program.
We will continue our ongoing support activities for areas affected by the disaster.
