At Sabati’s day service, we support seniors who are at least able to come in on their own, so the reality is quite different—they are active and energetic.

We use various devices to help them maintain and improve their functions, but what stays with us the most are their words of gratitude: “Thank you.” What may seem like a simple act to us can mean so much to them, and hearing their thanks is a powerful reminder of the impact of our work.

Seeing their smiles increase and knowing that we are helping them feel more energized is the greatest source of fulfillment in this job.
